Ex-Oyo PMS Boss, ‘Auxiliary’ Arraigned On 17 Charges

Oyo State government has arraigned the former Chairman, of the Disciplinary Committee of the state Park Management System (PMS), Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as ‘Auxiliary’ before Justice O. A. Adetujoye of Fiat Court 5 of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan.

The case with suit number i/74c/2024 was between the State Versus Mukaila Lamidi (Auxiliary).

He was charged with armed robbery, murder, attempted murder, and possession of firearms, including one AK-47 assault rifle, and two SMG rifles with magazines, The Nation reported.

The offense, according to the charge sheet, is contrary to any punishable under Section 1(2)(a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, CAP RII, Vol.14, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

It added that the offences were committed at about 2 pm on May 29, 2023, at Governor Seyi Makinde’s residence, Ikolaba, Ibadan.

‘Auxiliary’ pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to The Nation, the State Counsel, S. A. Osuolale, informed the court that he intended to call 19 witnesses to prove the case.

But, Counsel to Auxiliary, Tope Olayinka, said his client did not look healthy, urging the court to take cognizance of this.

However, Osuolale (State Counsel) argued that Olayinka is not a medical doctor and could not have ascertained the medical status of Auxiliary.

However, Justice Adetujoye adjourned the matter till November 4, this year for an accelerated hearing.

He ordered the prosecution to assemble his witnesses.
