Hungry Minors: Released Protesters Arrive At Aso Rock
The released 114 #EndBadGovernance protesters, including 30 minors, who were arraigned by the Nigeria Police Force and ordered to be discharged by President Bola Tinubu at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja have arrived at the State House Auditorium.
They were brought to the premises at around 2:00 PM and were received by Vice President Kashim Shettima on behalf of President Tinubu, who handed them over to their respective state governors.
The Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, facilitated their release.
Ibadan Media earlier reported that Justice Obiora Egwatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed the case against the protesters as requested by the Office of the Attorney-General.
In attendance are Deputy Senate President Jubrin Barau, Chairman of the Committee on Appropriation Abubakar Bichi, and the Governors of Kaduna, Uba Sani, and Kano, Abba Yusuf.
The ministers of Education, Tunji Alausa; Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Nentawe Yilwatda; and Environment, Balarabe Lawal, are also present at the venue.
Others include the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Tanko Sununu, along with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (Northwest), Abdullahi Yakasai.
