Ibadan Media CEO Praises OYSAA DG For Innovative Approach To Dispute Resolution
Ola Olalekan Olanrewaju, the Chief Executive Officer of Ibadan Media Ltd and an advertising expert has praised Hon. Oludolapo Eso-Ajanaku, the Director-General of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA), for introducing the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM).
The GRM is an initiative to improve professionalism and simplify dispute resolution in the Out-Of-Home (OOH) advertising industry in Oyo State.
Speaking on the development, Olanrewaju described the mechanism as a “timely innovation” that provides a structured framework for addressing conflicts and improving collaboration among stakeholders.
“The GRM is a transformative step forward for the advertising sector in Oyo State. It ensures accountability and creates an efficient system for resolving disputes, which is vital for fostering trust and growth in the industry,” Olanrewaju stated.
Recalling a personal experience, the media mogul commended the proactive leadership of Hon. Eso-Ajanaku in handling sector-related conflicts. “I once had a disagreement with another practitioner over an approved advertising location in Ibadan. The DG’s prompt intervention and fair resolution of the matter were impressive. This new mechanism reflects his dedication to advancing the industry.”
While noting that the GRM is still not fully integrated into OYSAA’s systems, including its official website, Olanrewaju expressed confidence in its eventual success.
“I visited the agency’s website, www.oysaa.oyostate.gov.ng, as directed in the DG’s release, to access the GRM form, but it is yet to be uploaded. Nonetheless, this shows the DG’s commitment to ensuring a comprehensive and effective rollout.”
Olanrewaju pledged his support for Hon. Eso-Ajanaku’s leadership and called on stakeholders to embrace the initiative for the industry's benefit.
“Under the DG’s guidance, the OOH advertising sector in Oyo State is set to achieve significant milestones. The GRM will undoubtedly play a key role in achieving this,” he remarked.
