Ibadan Residents Storm Secretariat Over Demolition Of Houses

Hundreds of residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have stormed the State Secretariat located at Agodi to protest the demolition of their houses.

According to DAILY POST, many houses have been demolished as a result of the ongoing construction of the Ibadan circular road.

It was learnt that scores of residents were stranded when the government began the demolition of the houses.

Hundreds of the affected house owners are currently at the Secretariat to protest against the demolition, DAILY POST reported.

Brandishing various placards, the protesters demanded stoppage of the ongoing demolition of their houses.

Some of the residents advised the state government to halt the demolition.
