Long Traffic Snarl On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Leaves Motorists Stuck

Motorists and commuters were on Sunday trapped in the traffic on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway which lasted for hours.


The long traffic spread beyond the Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries (Prayer City) at Magboro.


According to The Nation, the traffic was caused by the ongoing repair of the expansion joints on the dual-carriage bridge and the flooding of the alternative roads parallel to the bridge.


It took commuters about two hours for a trip that ordinarily should have taken five minutes.


A driver of an inter-state bus lamented the traffic snarl that almost made him run out of fuel. He blamed the traffic on the road dividers that have narrowed the carriageway.


Many of those caught in the traffic carpeted Julius Berger Nigeria for being slow with the replacement of the expansion joints.
