Makinde Reveals Legislative Agenda for 10th Oyo Assembly

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Thursday unveiled the legislative agenda for the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly.

According to INDEPENDENT, The Governor performed the official launch of the document shortly after presenting his State of the State address at the special sitting to commemorate the first anniversary of the Assembly at the Parliament Building, Secretariat Ibadan.

Governor Makinde said the Legislative Agenda was a good development as it helps in giving direction to the Assembly on its set objectives.

According to the Governor, this would further help in enhancing the activities and programmes of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly

“I am happy to unveil the Legislative Agenda for the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly. This is a good development for members of the Assembly under the leadership of the Rt. Hon Adebo Ogundoyin.”

“It has outlined what the Assembly plans to do and achieve, and how it plans to go about achieving them.
I therefore wish to commend the Oyo State House of Assembly for working in tandem with the agenda of the present administration which is aimed at enhancing the living standards of the people.”

Earlier, the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin told the Governor that the Legislative Agenda was drafted to make people-oriented laws, resolutions, and effective oversights.

“We are happy to capture our legislative priorities and goals in one document. This is the direction the House intends to take to achieve its set goals. It will assist us in taking our legislative assignments seriously.“
