New Olubadan: Olakulehin Coronated As 43rd Olubadan Of Ibadanland

Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin has been crowned as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The coronation ceremony was held on Friday, July 12, at the Labosinde compound, the family whose right is to crown any Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin.

According to the NATION, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state presented the staff and instruments of office to the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin 1.

Makinde, made the presentation around 2:45 pm on Friday, during the ceremony at the frontage of Mapo Hall in Ibadan.

Makinde, while making the presentation, said: “They said they want to sabotage, they want to sabotage, we are here today at Mapo Hall.

“I, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State by the virtue of the power conferred on me, hereby present the staff of office to the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The governor, however, felicitated the newly crowned Olubadan and the people of Ibadanland, praying for a long life and a successful reign.

Responding, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, expressed appreciation to Governor Makinde and the dignitaries who have traveled from far and near to grace the event and prayed that Ibadan shall be prosperous and witness more development in his reign.
