10 October

Reported by Ayooluwa Afolabi

The Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) has announced to the general public the temporary road closure affecting the Mokola flyover bridge to the Sango route.

The closure according to the authority is necessary to facilitate the ongoing road rehabilitation and culvert fixing works, which are expected to last for the next 10 days.

OYRTMA noted that the closure is necessary to prevent further deterioration of the infrastructure, Oyo Affairs reported.

To minimize delays and congestion, motorists are advised to utilize alternative routes during this period.

Oyo Affairs reports that motorists traveling from Dugbe towards Mokola can use the Queens Cinema junction beside Adamasingba Stadium and exit at Jemibewon junction.

Those coming from Sango, Veterinary, and heading towards the Mokola/Dugbe axis should branch off at Jemibewon, drive down to Agbarigo, and exit at Fijabi Junction.

Motorists from Eleyele, Agbarigo, heading towards Mokola Roundabout can use Polo junction and then drive down to the Veterinary junction.

Those from Gate/Bus Stop heading towards Mokola Roundabout and Dugbe can use Dandanru junction, head towards Amotekun office along Premier junction, and link Jemibewon junction.

The OYRTMA authority has deployed adequate personnel and materials to ensure seamless traffic flow to various destinations.

The general public’s cooperation and understanding during this temporary disruption are greatly appreciated.
